CPD Homes - news tile

We notified you in September that starting in 2023, your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements will be evolving.

From 1 January, all Australian medical practitioners will need a CPD Home. A CPD Home is an organisation accredited by the Australian Medical Council (AMC) which provides a CPD program for medical practitioners.

What does this mean for me?

Your RACP Fellowship means you already belong to a quality CPD Home. If you are already participating in our MyCPD program, you don’t need to do anything to keep the RACP as your CPD Home.

If you are not using our MyCPD program currently, you can contact the CPD team to obtain free access as part of your RACP membership.

We understand how to guide and support you to meet your specialist regulatory requirements. We have a long history as an accredited CPD provider for physicians and paediatricians in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Support and resources are available to you

Go online or call us. We will support you to comply with your CPD requirements, whatever your individual circumstances may be.

Via the RACP MyCPD platform you can quickly and easily log your CPD activities, access the MyCPD 2023 Framework and interactive handbook, and find other useful documents and templates. You will also find resources which specifically explain and guide you through the new CPD categories two and three requirements, as well as a recording of the recent 2023 MyCPD Framework Explained webinar.

Not sure where to start?

At this time of year, some colleagues are familiarising themselves with the new 2023 MyCPD Framework. Others have used the professional development plan (PDP) template to think through their learning goals and CPD activities for the year ahead.

Colleagues in private practice have reviewed the audit curated collection to determine what best suits their scope of practice. Those in solo practice are utilising the RACP Online Community (ROC) to connect with peers for possible category 2 activities. Others are working directly with the CPD team who take the time to understand your individual practice and suggest CPD activities relevant to your scope.

Your Fellowship means you belong to the RACP MyCPD Home. You have never stopped learning. We’re here to make sure that continues.
