Unified support needed for development of the National Occupational Respiratory Disease Registry

We want to see all states supporting the National Occupational Respiratory Disease Registry. We support the Queensland Health Legislation Amendment Bill (No. 2) 2025 that recognises a fully functional National Registry should not require duplication in our states and territories.

Our medical experts, with extensive expertise in workplace wellbeing, health and safety, urge similar legislative amendments in other states and territories to support the use and development of the National Registry. This will enable our occupational and environmental medicine and respiratory medicine specialist physicians to help reduce occupational lung diseases
