AHPRA is undertaking a high-impact review of the National Prescribing Competencies Framework and your input is vital.
The review is likely to influence the standards expected of prescribers in Australia and how to support safe and appropriate prescribing. Importantly, the framework also highlights telehealth and outlines the key attributes expected of prescribers in this space.
It is also likely to influence how educational and CPD programs are reviewed, and how national boards carry out their regulatory functions. This includes key areas such as information gathering, clinical decision-making, communication, monitoring.
The review is a priority for us as a medical training provider and representative organisation. RACP members who prescribe in Australia, find out more and share your feedback to inform the College response by Friday, 23 May.
