National Children's Week

This week is National Children's Week. The theme this year is Children have the right to relax, play and to join in a wide range of leisure activities. This theme is based on UNCRC Article 31. The Article states 'all children have the right of the child to rest and leisure'. They have the right 'to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child and to participate freely in cultural life and the arts.'

The RACP supports this through our Kids Covid Catch Up campaign, which calls on the implementation of universal access to quality early childhood education programs for all three-year-olds.
