An exciting opportunity exists for a Paediatric emergency physician to join our growing service on a permanent basis in the Paediatric Emergency Department.
If you enjoy working in a supportive, dynamic, evolving environment, with a wide diversity of patients, then Monash Medical Centre’s Paediatric Emergency Department is the place for you. The new paediatric ED at Monash Medical Centre is co-located next to the Adult ED but staffed separately.
We are the paediatric tertiary referral centre for south-eastern Victoria. Monash Children’s new hospital facilities opened in 2017, further establishing Monash Health as a leader in paediatric care. Essential qualifications
- registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Fellowship with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) and/or the Royal
Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent
- recognised training in paediatric emergency through the joint training committee (JTC) of ACEM
and RACP or equivalent
- working with children check
- must be a fellow of good standing with ACEM or RACP or equivalent and up to date with continuing practice development (CPD) requirements
