We're looking for a fixed term Consultant Paediatrician to join our team at Hutt Hospital, where collaboration and quality care are at the heart of everything we do.

This position offers a mix of acute and non-acute paediatric care, working within a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high standards of clinical service.

You’ll play a key role in mentoring junior medical staff, contributing to service development, and ensuring continuity of care across our region.

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior doctors
• Deliver high-quality care in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
• Collaborate with a skilled and compassionate team of health professionals

Requirements

• Vocationally registered in Paediatrics with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
• FRACP or equivalent qualification and be able to register for with the MCNZ
• Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
• Able to provide consistently high standards of medical care
• Brings relevant experience and training aligned with paediatric best practices
