We're seeking Medical Oncologists for full-time or part-time positions, on a permanent or fixed-term basis. Our department, the largest medical oncology unit in New Zealand, provides a supportive, collaborative environment with 26 oncologists, research fellows, and advanced training registrars.
We welcome oncologists with expertise in sarcoma, breast, gastrointestinal, or lung tumours, though all tumour specialisations are encouraged to apply.
Our team delivers multi-disciplinary care alongside radiation oncology, haematology, palliative care, surgical specialists, radiologists, and pathologists, with weekly tumour boards on-site at Auckland City Hospital.

Essential qualifications
Applicants should be Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, specialising in Medical Oncology or equivalent, and hold—or be eligible for—vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council. Experience in teaching, research, and systemic treatments including chemotherapy, hormone, molecular targeted, and immunotherapy is valued.
