Description
Hospital@home registrar opportunity is available within the Department of Sub-acute, Aged & Community Services within the Tasmanian Health Service at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) for 2026.
The Hospital@home program provides care to a range of medical, surgical and sub-specialty patients who require medical management that can be delivered in the community environment.
This is an excellent position for registrars who are interested in providing inpatient level care in the community. Registrars would have access to teaching activities provided by their specialist training programmes as well as the teaching provided by the Hospital@home team.
Salary:
- $134,930 - $189,005 per annum
- Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022
- Classification: Medical Practitioner Level 5-11 (Registrar)
Period of Employment: Fixed term, full time day work, 76 hours (+10 hours protected training time) per fortnight commencing 4 May 2026 until 3 August 2026.
Note: Following negotiation, there is also the option of part time work.
Essential qualifications
- General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).
