Description

The Principal House Officer or Registrar will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care, working alongside clinicians to assess, diagnose, and manage patients with confidence.
From coordinating investigations to supporting patient flow and participating in PHO night duty, you’ll build strong hands-on experience across medical and surgical care.

About us

Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and the main referral hospital for Central Queensland, now providing integrated cancer care services.

About you

  • MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA at Level 3 supervision.
  • If qualifications were obtained outside Australia, the candidate must be eligible for AHPRA and provide:
    • Evidence of successful completion of IELTS or equivalent English language test within the last year.
    • Successful completion of AMC MCQ examination.
    • Evidence of recent clinical practice, supported by current references.
  • Basic Life Support certification.

Salary information

Remuneration of up to $177,890 p.a. is comprised of:

  • Annual rate between $134,489 - $155,145 p.a.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
