Join our team in Mount Isa and make a real difference to paediatric healthcare in North Western Queensland. This unique role offers the opportunity to lead and expand regional paediatric services while managing diverse and complex cases rarely seen in metropolitan centres.
You'll work across general paediatrics, community health, and Level 4 neonatology, delivering high-quality care in a challenging and rewarding environment. The North West Hospital and Health Service serves a population of 32,000, including a significant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, requiring culturally safe and responsive care. Services extend beyond Mount Isa through telehealth and outreach clinics to remote communities.
Reporting to the Director of Paediatrics, you will provide expert clinical care, lead the Children’s Ward and Nursery teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to teaching, research, and service improvement initiatives.
