About us
We're responsible for maintaining preventative population health services in the areas of communicable disease control, environmental health and public health risk assessment & provides Public Health advice to the CQ and CWHHS.
About the role
Provide specialist public health medicine expertise and leadership to the CQPHU in the delivery of high-quality communicable disease surveillance, prevention and control; Human Biosecurity and health protection activities; environmental health programs; public health risk assessment; education and research; and public health advisory services.
About you
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia is mandatory.
- Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine is mandatory.
- Registrable as a specialist in Public Health Medicine with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is mandatory.
- Maintenance of currency in public health medicine including fulfilling any specialist College and national registration authority requirements.
Salary information
Total remuneration value of up to $550,085 p.a. is comprised of:
- an hourly rate between $216,643 - $274,678 p.a.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
