Description

Our Aged Care department has 106 inpatient beds for acute older persons’ care, subacute care and patients with behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia requiring rehabilitation, including an additional GEM at Home service.

There is strategic vision for a Perioperative Service (POPS) and additional acute admitting older persons unit beds.

The Aged Care specialists provide multiple services to inpatients (including a consultative service and shared care orthogeriatrics model of 10–20 patients) and outpatients, as well as provide a robust educational program.

There are opportunities to pursue research interests and experiences as part of this role.

Base Salary

  • $216,300 to $296,640 (Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1–11)
  • $300,216 to $310,389 (Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1–3)

Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award plus additional allowances and benefits.

Details

  • Multiple positions are available
  • Permanent, full-time day work (with on-call), working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible
  • Fixed-term, full-time or part-time day work (with on-call) until 31 March 2027

Essential qualifications

  • Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty
