- Fixed‑term Paediatric Specialist Medical Practitioner from 13 July 2026 to 31 January 2027.
You'll join a supportive paediatric service that includes a new short‑stay unit, a 34‑bed general paediatric ward, a 12‑bed Level 2 neonatal nursery, and outpatient services.
The department is staffed by registrars, HMOs, a senior registrar, and seven consultants, with 24/7 coverage and strong consultant support.
The role includes:
- Providing specialist inpatient and outpatient paediatric care
- Participating in an after‑hours on‑call roster
- Supervising junior medical staff and contributing to teaching programs
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring clear communication
- Participating in quality improvement, administrative duties, and approved research
This part‑time role offers 53.2 hours per fortnight, with a salary range of $216,300–$310,389 pro rata, plus 12% super, salary packaging, allowances, CPD support, relocation assistance, and access to statewide employee benefits. Essential qualifications
- Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Working with Children Registration
- Recent acute paediatric experience and strong clinical skills
