Specialist Medical Practitioners

Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 - Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3

• $216,300 - $310,389 per annum, pro rata 
• 11.5% superannuation 
• access to salary packaging

To qualify for the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range of $300,216–$310,389, the successful applicant must meet the Level 1, 2, or 3 criteria in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award.

In addition, the following allowances may be available: 

• provision of a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle or motor vehicle allowance of $28,389 per annum, pro rata
• Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $16,480 per annum, pro rata
• relocation and commencement support available up to $15,000 for approved appointees
• ability to salary package

Essential qualifications

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

• holds specialist registration
• a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway
• a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the specialty
