We're seeking experienced and passionate Consultants to join our Neurology department at Perth Children's Hospital.

As a part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll provide specialist medical inpatient and outpatient Neurology and Neurophysiology services to patients and families and promote patient quality and safety and provide leadership, training, supervision, and education for all health workers in collaboration with other Consultants, Service Clinical Leads, and the Head of Department.

Your key responsibilities:

• provide specialist neurology services to children and adolescents with neurological and neuromuscular disorders on an inpatient and outpatient basis, including neurodiagnostics
• interpret and report on EEGs, EMGs, Evoked Potentials and Nerve Conduction Studies as allocated
• conduct regular clinical review of patients at appropriate intervals with a focus on evidence-based clinical care, quality and safety, KPI’s, medication safety, appropriate use of hospital resources, discharge planning and ensure that medical records are accurately updated following all patient reviews

Essential qualifications

• Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
• fixed term and/or casual contracts can be held by individuals on visas that allow working rights within Australia. This position is subject to a Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check.
