As a Consultant Paediatrician, you’ll deliver high-quality care to paediatric and neonatal patients across the Goldfields, based primarily at Kalgoorlie Health Campus with outreach to Esperance and surrounding communities.
You’ll work within a supportive team, providing clinical leadership, mentoring junior doctors, and contributing to service improvement and governance. The role includes an on-call component, offering the opportunity to make a real impact in emergency and neonatal care.
About you
You're a skilled and compassionate Consultant Paediatrician, motivated by the opportunity to make a real difference in regional and remote healthcare. You bring expertise in the management of acute and chronic paediatric conditions, with a strong interest in neonatal care and developmental paediatrics.
Beyond clinical excellence, you're a natural leader and mentor - someone who enjoys teaching, supervising, and supporting junior doctors while fostering a collaborative and respectful team culture. You have the confidence to navigate high-pressure situations, the curiosity to embrace clinical innovation, and the resilience to adapt to the unique challenges of rural practice.
Importantly, you're driven by a commitment to equity in healthcare, with a deep respect for cultural diversity and a passion for improving outcomes for Aboriginal children and families. Whether your motivation is advancing your career, seeking a lifestyle change, or contributing to communities where your impact is profound and lasting, this role offers the opportunity to lead, inspire, and grow.
