About the role – Mō te tūranga mahi
To help deliver this vision, we are seeking Orthopaedic Surgeons with current NZMC Vocational registration to join our team of experienced clinical advisors.

In this role, you will be part of our multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will use your orthopaedic knowledge and surgical experience to provide clinical guidance on ACC claims. You will evaluate and interpret a wide variety of documentation and actively collaborate to support and advise internal ACC staff.
This is a great opportunity to learn new skills related to interpreting clinical information within a legislative context of the ACC Act.
- Regular hours will be agreed within ACC's standard hours of work of 8am–6pm, Monday to Friday
- Full-time and part-time roles available, with a preferred minimum of 20 hours per week

The starting salary for this role is $245,036.00 plus a 9% employer Superannuation contribution.
Essential qualifications
About you – Mōu
We are seeking vocationally registered Orthopaedic Surgeons who bring strong clinical expertise, contemporary orthopaedic knowledge, and a collaborative approach.
You will bring the following:
- experience across a range of orthopaedic settings
- a team player who works effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- proven ability to think logically and critically
- proven ability to write succinct, high-quality documentation
- skills to effectively manage a high-volume workflow
- a proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
- engagement in continuous learning and improvement through regular professional development
- current MCNZ Annual Practising Certificate with Vocational Registration in Orthopaedic Surgery
