Description
We're looking for an exceptional leader to join Infectious Diseases team in the role of Medical Director within Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
As the Medical Director, Infectious Diseases you'll lead and provide high quality Infectious Diseases care for our community, with a focus on leading safe care, driving quality improvement and innovation, and collaboratively contributing to department growth and development within a multidisciplinary team.
In addition to your clinical and professional expertise, you must have skills in managing people, leadership and sustainable financial decision accountability.
Essential qualifications
- Possession of a primary medical qualification (eg. MBBS or MD) awarded by a training institution recognised by Australian Medical Council (AMC) and World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS).
- Current Specialty Fellowship with Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Infectious Diseases or
- Current (or eligible for) assessment of substantial comparability by relevant college, or
- Ahpra Expedited Specialist Pathway eligibility in relevant specialty
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) in Microbiology is desirable
