Mid North Coast LHD on the stunning coast of NSW, Australia is seeking to appoint a temporary full time Staff Specialist in Palliative Care Medicine.
This position offers the opportunity to work across consult, acute hospital, dedicated palliative inpatient unit and community services within a well-established, district wide, multidisciplinary team, consisting of 4 Specialists in Palliative Care with a well-established specialist registrar training program.
Reporting to the District Clinical Director of Palliative Care, the Staff Specialist will be well supported within a strong governance structure with a commitment to education and development. The service incorporates a district model of care with 3 Nurse Practitioners across the district and is Co-Host for Rural & Regional education program.

Essential qualifications
The successful incumbent will possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Palliative Care Physician, with fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent specialist recognition (e.g FAChPM), or due to finish within 6 months.
