Exciting new role in rehabilitation primarily responsible for one of the rehabilitation wards also establishing medical outpatient rehabilitation services. Applicant will be a rehabilitation physician, with experience in managing severe spasticity with botulinum toxin.
The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. Additionally, it provides community health, mental health, and primary healthcare services to the Tasmanian community through more than 300 sites.
Fixed term full time, day worker with on call, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 2 February 2026 until 31 January 2027 Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $216,300 - $310,389 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging.
Essential qualifications
Successful applicants must meet the essential criteria, including Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty, and a current Working with Children Registration where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements.
