The TPC in GACM is seeking expressions of interest from first- or second-year Advanced Trainees to join as the Advanced Trainee Representative.
The College recognises that trainees, as future Fellows, play an important role in the training program. Trainees are involved in all areas of governance to represent the views of their fellow trainees.
This is a valuable opportunity to share your perspective as a trainee and help communicate between the TPC in GACM and other Advanced Trainees.
As an Advanced Trainee (AT) Representative, you'll also gain insight into how the training committee makes decisions to support individual trainees’ progression throughout their training.
Key responsibilities
- attending Committee meetings
- providing trainee perspectives on issues of concern
- representing trainees’ interests
- advocating on behalf of trainees
The Committee usually holds 2 face-to-face meetings in March and November and 1 further video conference a year.
Members are appointed to the ATC for an initial 3-year term, with the option to renew for a further term or until the Advanced Trainee becomes eligible for Fellowship.
Read the Training Program Committee in General and Acute Care Medicine Terms of Reference (PDF) before applying.
