For more information on its operations, read the Adult Medicine Division By-laws (PDF).

The AMD Council meets twice per year. During this term, the AMD Council will meet for a virtual meeting, on Thursday, 12 November 2026. Meeting dates for 2027 haven't been confirmed yet but the first meeting of 2027 is likely to be held in March or April.
In addition to the Aotearoa NZ Fellow representative (this vacancy), membership of AMD Council also includes the Chair of the Aotearoa NZ AMD Committee (ex-officio). Both roles are responsible to represent AMD Fellows residing in Aotearoa NZ.
