The ATC are seeking EOIs from first or second year CCH Advanced Trainees in Aotearoa New Zealand to join as the Advanced Trainee Representative.
There are currently one Aotearoa New Zealand Advanced Trainee Representative position vacant on the ATC in CCH. The College recognises that trainees, as future Fellows of the College, have a very important role in the College’s training programs. As such, the College involves trainees in all aspects of its complex governance as representatives of their fellow trainees.
This is a great opportunity if you are willing to share your trainee perspective and experience to assist the ATC in CCH in supporting Advanced Trainees.
Being an Advanced Trainee (AT) Representative will also allow you to be involved and understand how the training committee make decisions to support individual trainees’ progression throughout the course of their training.
Key Responsibilities
Overall, the roles/responsibilities of the Advanced Trainee Representative include but are not limited to:
- Commitment to regular attendance at meetings of the Committee
- Providing trainee perspective
- Representing trainees’ interests
- Advocating on behalf of trainees

The ATC currently meets four times a year, with at least one face-to-face meeting in Sydney.
Members are appointed to the ATC for a three-year term and can be renewed for a further term or until the Advanced Trainee becomes eligible for Fellowship.
