There are currently 2 vacancies on the Member Health and Wellbeing Committee for the following positions:
- AFPHM Representative
- Trainee representative
The Member Health and Wellbeing Committee is a Committee of the College Council and is responsible for representing the views of physicians and trainees, promoting their health and wellbeing, and providing expert advice on the Member Health and Wellbeing Strategic Plan and related matters.

Key responsibilities
The functions of the Member Health and Wellbeing Committee are:
- to represent the view of physicians and trainees on health and wellbeing
- to promote the personal and psychological health and wellbeing of physicians and trainees
- to advocate on behalf of physicians and trainees in matters relating to health and wellbeing
- to provide expert advice on matters relating to member health and wellbeing
- to increase awareness of wellbeing issues in physicians and trainees
- to oversee the ongoing management and implementation of the Physician Health and Wellbeing Strategic Plan and associated activities
- to provide guidance on the evaluation of the Physician Health and Wellbeing Strategic Plan
- to work with College health and wellbeing staff to revise the Physician Health and Wellbeing Strategic Plan when required
Applicants should
- provide relevant interest, skills and expertise to the Committee
- not represent any particular organisation
- be prepared to devote the time to prepare for and attend Committee meetings on a pro bono basis
