Description
One of the main roles of the Training Program Committee in Paediatric Rehabilitation Medicine is to monitor and assess individual trainee progress in Paediatric Rehabilitation Medicine for Australasia.
There is currently 1 Fellow position vacant on the Committee in the role of appointed member. This is a great opportunity for Fellows who are willing to support current Paediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Advanced Trainees and the training program.
In this role, you will:
- Help shape the physicians of the future and positively contribute to the direction, workforce, and culture of Paediatric Rehabilitation Medicine in Australia (and Aotearoa New Zealand).
- Be involved in the review and monitoring of training program requirements, assessments, and curricula in consultation with relevant specialty society(ies) and other stakeholders.
- Recommend changes to the College Education Committee via the Adult Medicine Division Education Committee, Paediatrics Division Education Committee, and/or Faculty Education Committee.
Other key responsibilities:
- Monitor training of, and provide support to, supervisors in Paediatric Rehabilitation Medicine
- Accredit Advanced Training sites or programs in Paediatric Rehabilitation Medicine
- Assess recognition of prior learning
- Advise on matters relating to Overseas Trained Physicians, as requested
- Modify individual training requirements, as appropriate, in accordance with College policies and procedures

Meetings are held twice per year with one face to face meeting.
Members are appointed to the Committee for a 3-year term and can be renewed for a further term.
