Enhancing CV Protection Through Vaccination

Date:
25 Mar 2026 at 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Location:
Online
Host:
United Clinical

Cardiovascular disease remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in Australia, with a growing body of evidence demonstrating that acute infections can precipitate major cardiovascular events.

A newly published ESC Clinical Consensus Statement now recognises vaccination as a meaningful and evidence-based strategy to reduce infection-triggered cardiovascular risk, particularly in older adults and those with established cardiovascular disease. This masterclass will explore how vaccination can be reframed and operationalised in general practice as part of contemporary cardiovascular prevention. With a focus on real-world workflows, the session will examine who is most at risk, why infection matters in cardiovascular disease, and how GPs can proactively identify and protect patients.

Pending CPD Home approval for 8hrs including post-work.
