The Paediatric Emergency Registrar provides comprehensive paediatric emergency care under Consultant supervision, managing emergency presentations and Extended Care Unit inpatients, coordinating investigations, referrals and discharge planning, supervising junior staff, participating in trauma, teaching, research and on-call services, and performing procedures aligned with training and experience.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
- Clinical experience and competence in the practice of paediatric emergency medicine.
- Ability to work as an effective team member in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other staff.
- Commitment to client (and parent/carer) participation in care.
