• Salary: MDP-2 $99,707 - $158,523 p.a. + Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice Benefits

• Duration of the training program: 12 months from 1 February 2027 to 30 January 2028
• Term of the contract: 3 years in line with Clause 52 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you'll assume the supervised clinical management of patients under the direct care of the Clinical Pharmacology team.

You'll be a member of the Multidisciplinary Ambulatory Consulting Service, involved in the management of patients with multiple medical conditions. In this service, you'll play a major role in the assessment and treatment of patients.

Accepting clinical responsibility under gradually diminishing supervision, you'll contribute to the management of patients and provide appropriate and timely emotional support to patients' families.

You'll also be involved in a range of educational activities for medical students, pharmacists and other clinical staff. In addition, you'll contribute to medication governance through participation in the Central Adelaide Drug Committee, the South Australian Formulary Committee, and the Investigational Drug Subcommittee.

You'll also be involved in clinical research, which is a fundamental part of Clinical Pharmacology.

Essential qualifications

• Appointment is subject to satisfactory Criminal History Clearances and compliant immunisation screening, as outlined in the role description.
• Successful completion of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) Fellowship examination (FRACP), including both the written and clinical examinations.
• Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Practitioner.

You'll have demonstrated competence in Clinical Pharmacology, a high level of personal and professional integrity, and a commitment to quality improvement and safe clinical practice.

You'll be adaptable to change, receptive to constructive feedback from senior staff, and able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
