Description
The Rehabilitation Physician role involves providing specialist medical care across inpatient and day rehabilitation programs including; admission assessment, rehabilitation planning, clinical oversight and patient discharge, whilst working closely with a highly experienced multidisciplinary team.
The position offers full private practice support, onsite consulting suites and an established caseload, which provides an excellent platform to consolidate and grow a sustainable private practice.
As a Rehabilitation Physician, you'll:
- Provide specialist inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services
- Manage a diverse caseload including neurological, orthopaedic, reconditioning, and chronic disease patients
- Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (physiotherapy, OT, speech, psychology, nursing)
- Contribute to service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in teaching, supervision, and mentoring of junior staff
Essential qualifications
- Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (FAFRM) or equivalent
- Specialist registration with AHPRA (Rehabilitation Medicine)
- Demonstrated experience in inpatient and/or day rehabilitation care
- Strong multidisciplinary teamwork and communication skills
