We're seeking Palliative Care registrars to work at Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH). The Royal Hobart hospital is Tasmania’s largest hospital and major referral centre. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. Registrars may work in the inpatient specialist palliative care unit, the community palliative care team and the acute hospital consults service.
Roles are accredited for each of the 3 core palliative medicine advanced training terms and clinical foundation in palliative medicine training. The Registrar is responsible for the day-to-day management of private & public inpatients/outpatients and provides after hours emergency cover at the hospital as required.
Salary
$138,978 - $194,675 per annum + 12% superannuation and access to salary packaging Period of Employment Fixed term, full time day work, 76 hours per fortnight (+10 hours protected training time pro rata), starting 1 February 2027 until 7 February 2028 (note 24 months negotiable).
Essential qualifications
- Registration or eligible for Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).
