Description

This full-time temporary opportunity, from 1 February 2027 to 27 January 2030, offers a competitive salary package of $99,707 to $158,523 p.a. (MDP-2), plus superannuation and attractive salary packaging benefits.

You will be responsible for managing the care of all patients allocated to your team within a specific General Medical Unit at either the Royal Adelaide Hospital or The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

This will be achieved in consultation with the responsible Junior Staff, Consultants, Nurses and Allied Health professionals.

Maintaining a high standard of medical care for inpatients and outpatients, you will keep readily accessible records of patient care and bring any doubts or concerns to the attention of the Consultant.

Essential qualifications

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

  • sound clinical skills, a collaborative approach and a commitment to quality patient care
  • a medical degree and eligibility for registration with AHPRA
  • experience managing patients in a General Medical Unit
  • strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
  • commitment to quality improvement and medical education
  • ability to supervise and support medical students and Interns
