Join Mid North Coast Local Health District as a Staff Specialist in Palliative Care, providing comprehensive medical, clinical, and consultative care to inpatient and community-based patients and their families.

The role
You will work across consulting, acute hospital, dedicated palliative inpatient unit, and community services within a well-established, district-wide multidisciplinary team of four Specialists in Palliative Care, supported by an established specialist registrar training program and three Nurse Practitioners across the district. Reporting to the District Clinical Director of Palliative Care, you will be well supported within a strong governance structure with a genuine commitment to education and development, and the service is Co-Host for the Rural and Regional education program.

Essential qualifications
You will possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Palliative Care Physician, with Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent specialist recognition (for example, FAChPM), or due to finish within 6 months.
