The new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital (ERH) will be larger than both Moruya and Batemans Bay hospitals combined, designed with the capacity to grow as demand for services changes. The NSW Government has funded $330 million to build a sustainable, modern and purpose-built hospital to support the needs of the entire Eurobodalla Community. The facility due to open in March 2027.

What you'll be doing

Provide contemporary comprehensive Specialist General Physician services for optimal patient outcomes.

Provide and support training for registrars and junior medical officers to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

We provide a range of elective and emergency surgical services; general surgery, urology, ophthalmology, gynaecology and obstetrics. It is supported by a close observation Unit.

Essential qualifications

• Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Physician or equivalent overseas qualification (Internal Medicine) either eligible for Expedited Specialist Pathway or substantially comparable on the RACP Specialist IMG Pathway
• Demonstrated current clinical experience in General / Acute / Internal Medicine at an appropriate Level 4 health service
• Demonstrated understanding of clinical governance principles including the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) standards in Australia
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and provide effective leadership
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching, clinical research, simulation and quality improvement
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and staff; and effective communication using information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team
