Location

Brisbane, QLD

Description

A part-time, permanent opportunity for a specialist doctor to step into a lead investigator role at an established Phase I clinical trials unit in Brisbane.

You would take lead investigator responsibility for early-phase and first-in-human studies, working alongside an experienced team of medical officers, project managers, study coordinators, nurses and pharmacists. No prior Phase I experience is needed.

You will be extensively trained and mentored into the role, so it suits a registered specialist who wants to move into, or deepen, a career in clinical research without leaving medicine behind.

Essential qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring:
  • full AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner
  • Fellowship with the RACP, or another fellowship of a relevant specialist college
  • full Australian work rights
  • an interest in the science and medicine of new drug development
  • good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team

Clinical research experience in a hospital setting is welcomed, and a PhD or other higher research degree is an advantage, though not essential.
