Description

We are seeking a Haematologist to join our team on a 9-month fixed-term contract between January and 8 October 2027, covering parental leave.

Health New Zealand : Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau is a dynamic organisation at the forefront of innovative health delivery, serving south and east Auckland.

You will provide diagnostic and treatment services for patients with haematological diseases, working across our inpatient ward, chemotherapy day ward, outpatient clinics, thrombosis service, haematology laboratory and blood bank.

You'll participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contribute to junior staff training, and work alongside nursing, allied health and scientific teams.

The Haematology position is a 0.8 FTE role between Monday and Friday and there is the opportunity for 0.2 FTE additional research hours to make this a full-time position. There is an on-call roster with an expected call frequency of 1:6.

Essential qualifications

  • Applicants should ideally hold FRACP (or equivalent) and be eligible for Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
