Training Program Committee – Basic Training in Paediatrics & Child Health | Australia

The Training Program Committee – Basic Training in Paediatrics & Child Health (Australia) oversees the Paediatrics and Child Health Division Basic Training Program across Australia and New Zealand in its entirety. The Committee's responsibilities include:

  • the implementation of College Education Policy in the Basic Training Program
  • ensuring Basic Training is conducted fairly, efficiently and in a transparent manner
  • overseeing and monitoring the progression of Paediatric and Child Health Basic Trainees
  • monitoring the training of and providing support to Basic Training supervisors
  • approving the appointment of Directors of Physician Education and provide support
  • overseeing the accreditation of new training environments
  • monitoring, reviewing and providing recommendations about program guidelines, assessment requirements and curricula to the College Education Committee via the Paediatrics and Child Health Division Education Committee
