Overview
In June 2024, the Board approved a future education governance model following completion of the Education Governance Review.
The transition of education and training committees to the new model has now been completed as part of a 3-staged implementation project. The new model establishes clear roles, accountabilities and reporting lines across committees.
It aligns decision-making with College strategy, strengthens oversight, and supports more consistent and transparent governance across programs.
The structure is designed to:
- Improve the quality, consistency and timeliness of decision-making
- Strengthen accountability and reduce duplication or ambiguity across committees
- Enhance collaboration and coordination across education and training functions
- Support higher-quality curriculum, assessment and training outcomes
- Enable more effective identification and management of risks
