Description

Continuing professional development is a professional obligation for all medical practitioners and is essential for the maintenance and enhancement of their skills and knowledge in the ever-evolving field of medicine.

The Continuing Professional Development Committee (CPDC) oversees the College’s CPD framework, ensuring it meets regulatory requirements, supports lifelong learning and incorporates cultural safety principles.

Committee members contribute to strategic initiatives, policy development, and decision-making to maintain high professional standards and support the quality of healthcare services provided to communities across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Responsibilities

  • Promote participation in the RACP CPD program
  • Attend and actively contribute to CPDC meetings
  • Provide a faculty perspective on matters relating to CPD policy and strategy
  • Support communication and engagement between the CPDC and the Faculty

Committee meetings are held quarterly and may include 1 in-person meeting, with the remaining meetings held by Zoom each year.
