Much is known about the histories of and effective interventions for young people who offend but is evidence enough? Russell will describe some current efforts to put these into practice in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Russell is a community and general paediatrician at the Hawke’s Bay District Health Board in Hastings and a former Children's Commissioner. He is the current chair of the Paediatric Society of NZ Child Protection Clinical Network and Te Whatu Ora Health NZ Child Protection Clinical Governance Group.
Russell’s main interests are in intersectoral community interventions for children and young people with complex medical, behavioral and family issues.
