Member consultation: Point of Care Testing Standard

Please provide your feedback on the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) draft Point of Care Testing (POCT) Standard.
The Standard aims to support health and aged care service providers conducting POCT by:
- enhancing patient safety
- ensuring quality assurance
- promoting consistent practices across care setting
- maintaining a relevant framework as new technologies emerge.
The consultation offers an important opportunity to provide feedback based on your personal clinical experience of this emerging technology as it becomes more sophisticated and accessible. Your feedback will inform our College submission on the draft Standard, which will highlight the expertise of our members and provide strategic advice to guide the finalisation of this important national Standard. Please share your views before it closes on Sunday, 30 November 2025 at 5pm AEDT.
