Curricula changes across our specialty training programs
Date published:

The RACP is updating our educational approach for all Advanced Training specialties.
With a renewed focus on competency-based medical education (CBME), the College is developing and implementing new curricula that align learning, teaching and assessment activities to achievable program outcomes.
To develop modern curricula that remain agile enough to embrace future innovations, the input of our members and the general public is vital. Key documents by specialty are now available on the Advanced Training Curricula Renewal pages of the RACP website.
Meeting contemporary expectations
To help meet patient, community and health system expectations, our dedicated Curriculum Review Groups are currently consulting on the initial drafts of a further 18 curricula (Wave 3).
Specialty-specific online feedback forms
Consultation for most Wave 3 specialties close at 9am AEST Wednesday, 2 October 2024 (check each specialty link details).

CPD Hours: category 2 - reviewing performance
If you are recording CPD hours for 2024, you can claim Category 2 hours for the time spent both reviewing the curriculum and providing feedback. Please allocate the entire period of reflection and review, including the 15 minutes to complete the online form.
Your insights can help shape your specialty’s future training.
Each online feedback form will take approximately 15 minutes to complete and will allow you to provide an honest review of the content, identify what might be lacking and suggest where further changes and refinements might be required.
Member and public feedback can also be provided through
- written response by email (to curriculum@racp.edu.au)
- group online feedback session (via Zoom, separate sessions by specialty)
- provide comment and insights over the phone by calling +61 2 8076 6390
