The Launceston General Hospital (LGH) has a purpose-built Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with 11 fully staffed beds (expandable to 13). Major referral centre for North North West Tasmania. Accredited as a general training unit (C12 pre-2014) by CICM for completion of ICU requirement of training for both ACEM and ANZCA trainees.
Unit also counts a Rural Exposure for CICM. Exposure to wide range of investigations, interventions, and procedures. Multiple fixed term, full time, shift worker (fully rotational) positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight with on call, starting from 1 February 2027 until 30 January 2028.
Salary:
Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11 $138,978 - $194,675 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022

Eligibility
- Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria as • General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)
