Neurospine Institute WA is a leading centre for spinal and neurosurgical care. We're seeking an experienced General & Perioperative Physician to join our multidisciplinary team supporting patients throughout their surgical journey.

Working alongside specialist spinal surgeons, physicians, physiotherapists, nurses, and allied health professionals, you'll help deliver comprehensive neurospine care and high-quality clinical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative assessments and optimise patients for surgery
• Provide perioperative and postoperative medical care
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and allied health teams on care plans
• Manage perioperative medical conditions and complications
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide patient education
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical education

Essential qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognized institution
• Current registration with AHPRA as a General & Perioperative Physician Fellowship with the Australian College of Physicians (FRACP)
• Current rights to work in Australia (Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent resident)
• Extensive experience in perioperative medicine, including preoperative assessments, medical optimization, and postoperative care
• Strong clinical knowledge and proficiency in managing a wide range of medical conditions and comorbidities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team and patients
• Commitment to patient-centred care, evidence-based practice, and continuous professional development
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient safety and optimal outcomes
