Description
Our registrars provide high-quality care to inpatients (general paediatric and neonatal unit) and outpatients within Alice Springs Hospital, local MDT developmental services and remote community clinics.
The Paediatric department has 7 consultants, 7 ward registrar and 2 community/outreach registrar positions. Services include a 30-bed dedicated paediatric ward, an 8-bed neonatal unit (routinely admitting >32/40 and 1500g newborns) and access to ICU beds as required. Delivery of outpatient clinics in hospital, remote community and local MDT developmental services are core components of our service.
Essential qualifications
- Eligible for general registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- A minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact positively as a team member in a busy and culturally diverse work environment.
- A demonstrated interest in and commitment to improving rural and Indigenous child health.
