Comprising salary $122,264 - $153,195, superannuation, leave loading and the value of 2 weeks extra recreation leave.
Senior Registrar
Comprising salary $166,617 - $182,143, superannuation, leave loading and the value of 2 weeks extra recreation leave.
Based on campus at the Royal Darwin Hospital (RDH), Territory Palliative Care provides high quality palliative care to an enormous geographical area – the Top End of the Northern Territory (NT).
We are a wraparound service and in this role you will rotate with two other specialists through all three facets of palliative care provision:
- Hospice
- Hospital consults
- Community service
Territory Palliative Care (TPC) is the model service for the provision of culturally appropriate palliative care in Australia. In this role you will gain a rich cultural education and an understanding of the importance of finishing up on country and the many traditions, beliefs and ceremonies around death.
You will be required to work closely and considerately with families, community clinics and repatriation services to plan for end-of-life care on country and support their ongoing needs in remote locations.
This position is aimed at improving the delivery of good palliative care in the primary health setting.
This role may suit:
- A GP Registrar in training (ESP Re-accreditation with NTGPE pending)
- A post-fellowship primary care physician looking to upskill in the area of specialist palliative care
There is an opportunity for a motivated candidate to complete the RACP (Royal Australasian College of Physicians) Diploma in Palliative Medicine during this post, and TPC would be happy to support this.
Essential qualifications
- Eligible for general and/or specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Meet the requirements for appointment as a Registrar or Senior Registrar under the Medical Officers Northern Territory Public Sector Enterprise Agreement
