Description
To provide high quality Clinical Haematology services across Southern NSW LHD and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities commensurate with the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Essential qualifications
- Current registration with the Australasian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Specialist in Clinical Haematology.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Clinical Haematology.
- Demonstrated contemporary clinical knowledge and technical expertise in the specialty of Clinical Haematology, with demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive, high quality, compassionate haematology services and patient care.
- Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position, with recent experience working congenially and collaboratively in a specialist multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to work with local clinical teams to lead, support and improve the delivery of Haematology services.
- Demonstrated ability to actively improve service delivery, initiate change, and consult with those affected by change, including managing potential conflicts.
- Demonstrated commitment to leading a program of Haematology education and training for local multidisciplinary clinicians, with commitment to clinical research, including experience in clinical trials.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted driver’s licence and the ability to maintain it. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
