Launceston General Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Paediatric Specialist Medical Practitioner to join our supportive and dynamic team. This fixed-term, part-time role (53.2 hours per fortnight) offers an exciting opportunity to work within a well-established regional service.
Our department includes a 34-bed general paediatric ward, a 12-bed Level 2 neonatal nursery, a new paediatric short stay unit, and active outpatient services. You will provide high-quality specialist care to inpatients and outpatients, participate in a shared on-call roster, and deliver consultative support across the hospital.
The role also involves supervising and teaching junior medical staff and students, contributing to education programs, and engaging in quality improvement and research activities.

Essential qualifications
- Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty.
- Current Working with Children Registration.
