Indigenous Leadership Fund
The Indigenous Leadership Fund provides funding support to enrich the training and member experience.
All trainees and Fellows who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, Māori or Pacific peoples can apply for financial support from the College.
Funding may be granted to:
- cover the costs associated with participating in a relevant course, conference or other activity
- support well-being and connection to Country and family
- offset time and/or salary to facilitate participation in a relevant activity.
Examples of activities that can be considered for financial support include AIDA‘s Annual Conference, Te Ora events, PRIDoC, scientific meetings, education courses, trainee days, leadership and professional development courses and courses that enhance or develop cultural wellbeing, language and/or cultural immersion.
Eligibility criteria
To apply, applicants must:
- identify and be recognised as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, Māori or Pacific person
- be a trainee or Fellow of the RACP
- submit a completed application form
While eligible Fellows are invited to apply for financial support, applications from eligible trainees will be prioritised.

There are 2 annual funding rounds. To apply, submit your completed application form by:
- Tuesday, 26 May 2026 and/or
- Tuesday, 22 September 2026
Eligible applications will be reviewed by the Chair and/or delegated nominee/s of the:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Committee
- Māori Health Committee
