Description
The Committee supervises the coordination of the development, preparation and measurement of exams and assessments and also standardises examiners and assessors and oversees examining panels.
The AFRM FAC audits and analyses exam data used to change policy and programs to improve exams and assessments. The Committee reports recommendations to the College Education Committee, the AFRM Education Committee and associated working parties and committees.
To be a successful applicant, you must have:
- Unconditional AHPRA or MCNZ registration as an AFRM Rehabilitation Medicine Physician
- Must be at least 2 years post Fellowship
Key responsibilities
- Chairing all FAC meetings and reviewing and approving the agenda, minutes, and associated committee documentation.
- Overseeing the coordination of the AFRM Written and Clinical Examinations.
- Engaging in continuous quality improvement of all assessments.
- Providing oversight and advice, where required, to the annual working parties that write examination questions for the AFRM Written and Clinical Examinations.
- Attending the AFRM Clinical Examinations as Chief Examiner and providing guidance and support to the lead coordinator and working party members.
- Reviewing and providing input and advice on assessment-related matters in the role of Chair. This includes contributing to policy reviews, project input, and broader assessment program changes.
- Preparing verbal or written reports to the TPC, CAC, and other committees as required.
The term of this position is for 3 years from the date of appointment.
The AFRM FAC holds 1 face-to-face meeting and up to 5 teleconferences a year, with additional meetings as required.
