Description

Represent AFOEM Fellows as an FAC Member – Stage B Practical Exam Lead Coordinator and earn CPD points while making a difference to trainees’ experience.

The FAC – OEM plays a key role in supporting trainee assessment and recommending policy and program changes to the Training Program Committee and the College Education Committee. 

Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the Stage B Practical Exam Lead Coordinator include:

  • attending FAC – OEM meetings and providing updates in relation to the Stage B Practical Examination 
  • leading question development activities including meetings, guiding question writing and mapping to the curriculum with support from ExO of Exam Production
  • supporting the coordination of patient recruitment and the development of clinical station content
  • supporting the role player calibration meeting as facilitated by the relevant question writers and the ExO of Exam Delivery
  • leading the examiner calibration session, in partnership with the question writers and RACP examinations team
  • overseeing examination proceedings and making any critical decisions related to content or examiner matters in collaboration with the Chief Examiner, Clinical Patient Coordinator/s and/or the RACP management team

The Lead Coordinator must withdraw from their role, either temporarily or permanently, if they hold a supervisory relationship with any candidate sitting the examination in that year. The FAC – OEM meets 5 times a year via videoconference. All members of the FAC – OEM are appointed for 3 years, with the option to serve up to a maximum of 6 years. Interested Fellows will need to hold unconditional AHPRA or MCNZ registration as an Occupational and Environmental Medicine Physician (AFOEM). Before applying, please read the Terms of Reference (PDF)
